We are encouraging patients to give their views about how the practice is doing. We would ike to be able to find out the opinions of as many patients as possible. We would also like to keep you up to date with plans for and changes to the practice. Add this site to your favourites to keep in touch with us. Please note that no medical infomation or questions will be responded to via this blog.

Getting on my bike

Many of you will know that despite the fact I am encouraging you all to exercise for your health I have not set you all a very good example, being largely sedentary myself!

This July 29th I have been persuaded to attempt my first sportive cycle ride, the Prudential Ride 46. I have decided that if I am going to do this it should not just be in aid of making my lungs & legs hurt, it would be better doing some good!

As my aunt has just died from Parkinson’s disease and my grandmother also had Parkinson’s I am fund raising for Parkinson’s UK. Please consider making a donation to support their valuable work.

Just click on the link and I will do my best not to let you or them down.

I have to finish the 46 miles within a four and a half hour time frame.  Fundraising for this excellent cause is my incentive to keep going.

British Lung Foundation event for COPD patients - please promote

Date: 08 February 2018
In collaboration with the British Lung Foundation, Bromley CCG are putting on an information event on 19th April 2018 at Crofton Hall, Orpington to promote self-management and support available in the community, primarily the Breathe Easy patient support group.
Since Bromley’s Breathe Easy group is in Orpington, we thought it most sensible to invite patients from around this area as they are most likely to attend the local group. We are asking for practices from the Orpington cluster if they would be interested in doing a mailout to patients on their COPD register inviting them to attend. Postage costs will be covered by the BLF, and we would ask that this is completed in the last week of March.
This will be on a first come, first served basis as the event can only cater for approximately 100 people. We are looking into the viability of putting on another event later in the year in the Bromley/Beckenham area to feed into other local Breathe Easy groups.
The event will include talks from clinicians, a presentation from patients who attend Bromley Breathe Easy, and some taster sessions of local classes such as singing or tai chi; agenda is to be confirmed.

COLD SNAP FEB 24th - MAR 1st
