New Mayor Of Bromley

The Bromley Homeless Shelter is pleased to announce that the new Mayor of Bromley, Kathy Bance, MBE, has nominated Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid and The Bromley Homeless Shelter as her charities for the year. Mayor Bance is a councillor for Penge and Cator Wards. She received her MBE for many years of work in the local community. For example, nearly 3 decades ago, she established Outreach for the Homeless, which operates from Penge Congregational Church. She has also supported the Bromley Homeless Shelter from behind-the-scenes and was a street pastor for 5 years.




If you are in Bromley and currently homeless or concerned you are about to become homeless and want to find out what the Council can do for you, visit their offices in the Civic Centre from 8:30 to 17:30 weekdays or, phone 0208 313 4098 daytime or, 0208 464 4848 out of office hours, or go to the Bromley Council website.

Out of season, the phone is not permanently manned, so if it is not answered after 30 seconds, please  leave a message and we will return your call.  We may be able to give you an appointment to see someone who can help you.

Throughout the year, usually on a Thursday between 10am and 2pm, we offer an advice service on benefits and homelessness at the United Reformed Church in Widmore Road, Bromley.
