I am writing this latest post in a swirling mix of emotions. I want to be positive and upbeat but cannot muster the energy or will at the moment. This week we heard that as a result of the prolonged delays in funding (approval in principle and an invitation to reapply next year) for our proposed new premises, the developers have been unable to hold the site vacant any longer and have sold it on to be developed for housing.
We have been trying to move for almost twenty years and many of you will remember past plans and proposals. Since we started trying to move to better and larger premises the patient list size has increased by a further 40%.
It seems unlikely that we will ever be in such a good position as we were with this most recent proposal at the Park Langley site. Thank you to all of you who helped with the consultation and supported our application.
We will continue to strive to provide the best quality care in spite of the restrictions of the current premises. We thank you all for your support of the surgery and tolerance of the problems the premises cause.
Dr Young
